local gang member will spend more than 15 years in prison for supplying the gun used in a shooting. His involvement lead to the death of 16-year-old Juan Ramos. The jury found Jimmy Allen guilty of reckless endangerment, first-degree burglary, possession of a firearm, and theft of a firearm.
In September of last year, Allen dropped Ramos off on 15th Street in Sunnyside, where Ramos fired at rival gang members and then was shot himself.Allen took him to the hospital where he later died. Detectives say Allen likely gave Ramos the gun he stole earlier that day.
